I am wary of remakes of classic films. For example, the Coen Brothers remake of "The Ladykillers" is cringe worthy. They did better with "True Grit."
Del Toro tried to redo "The Wolf Man" and it made the original with Lon Chaney and Claude Rains look like a epic in comparison.
