While the plot is more than a bit far-fetched, the writers are saved by some nicely nuanced work from Bridges, Geraldine Brooks, John Ireland (as a beatnik sculptor who becomes the front man for Bridges' foolhardy legal feint), along with two ubiquitous 60s TV presences: David Lewis and Dabbs Greer.
Amazing to note that JFK was still alive when this episode aired on Halloween night in 1963, and much mmore gratifying to report that the director of this episode, Ralph Senensky, is still with us at the age 98. Ralph has a tremendous blog where he has collected his razor-sharp memories of his TV directing projects, and he will not disappoint you with his behind-the-scenes recollections of this episode:

Be careful, though--once you start reading Ralph's blog, you may be swallowed up in it and never be seen or heard from again... :-)
