Roddy McDowell as you've never seen him in this "Skid Row redemption noir" tale of a former college professor rallying from a long grief-fueled bender to finger a murderer.





Veteran novelist/screenwriter Howard Browne does a fine job in augmenting future producer/packager Dean Hargrove's story, and director Elliot Silverstein, with many prestige TV credits in this time frame (NAKED CITY, BEN CASEY, THE DEFENDERS), pulls all of the elements together (though you may find the denouement for this one to be a bit too abrupt).
