As I pointed out in a post ages ago, "My Name is Julia Ross" made use of existing sets and company players. Quite a few of the actors, including the romantic leads, Nina Foch and Roland Varno, had worked on another Columbia quickie, "Return of the Vampire" with Bela Lugosi. In fact, the musical score was recycled from the horror film to boot.
"My Name is Julia Ross" was remade as "Dead of Winter" with Jan Rubes, Mary Steenburgen and Roddy McDowell. It was a loose remake and the script departed from the original material in many details, but the basic premise was the same.
