I'm getting Gen-Z Pynchon ripoff vibes from what I'm dredging up about this upcoming novel by Alexandra Kleeman, a book that seems to be in a strange serial orbit around TP's "left-hand" efforts: CRYING OF LOT 49, VINELAND, and BLEEDING EDGE...but with climate change as the "neo-noir agent of discord," of course.
I have sequestered my jury and it's still out regarding whether I will commit time to reading this, or instead thinking about how some enterprising filmmaker might tackle CRYING OF LOT 49 as a long-lost sixties noir...Amanda Seyfried as Oedipa Maas?
