Another look at Alfred Hitchcock--one for each month, apparently--but one that (from the various descriptions available to us at this time) does not appear to tackle his relationship with film noir. The NYT review (linked below) is highly positive.

Edward White's previous book was a study of the career of African-American poet/photographer Carl van Vechten.
