Maite Alberdi’s film THE MOLE AGENT (2020, Chile) is lauded by Pablo Larrain, Chile’s most acclaimed director, in this Variety interview. Larrain does not shy away from big media subjects for his films (2012’s NO and 2016’s JACKIE, both available at nominal streaming prices at Amazon Prime, will orient you to his sweeping approach) but here he lauds a smaller, more intimate film that combines elements of neo-noir with a semi-documentary approach to reveal the failures of Chile’s nursing homes (which seems to be a problem everywhere...).
THE MOLE AGENT is also available at Amazon Prime for a nominal fee...
