Folks on the west coast might want to stay up for what will be a midnight screening on 2/23 of THE FALLEN SPARROW, Garfield's first great noir performance.
What did they miss? DUST BE MY DESTINY, Garfield's first noir; and UNDER MY SKIN, an underrated drama based on a Hemingway short story that Garfield did on loanout to Fox, opposite French actress Micheline Presle (during her brief, less-than-happy sojourn to Hollywood--which apparently included a tryst with Garfield before she married Michele Morgan's ex-husband William Marshall a few weeks after filming wrapped...you get these tidbits because there's nowhere for the TCM hosts to insert them!)
