British director Pat Jackson (best known for his war film WESTERN APPROACHES) didn't get much of a tumble during his time in Hollywood but he was proud of this tight little film which features unusual work from both Sothern and Nancy Davis (solid but already a bit matronly, presaging her next noir role as the mom in TALK ABOUT A STRANGER). You would not think from watching this film that Sothern was twelve years older than Davis...
Though they tried their best to harden up Kristine Miller here, I still was half-expecting Don DeFore to knock on the door and call her "Miss Palmer, honey..." :-)
I think with its hospital setting, it could play nicely on a double bill with WHERE DANGER LIVES, which gives us a taste of the medical world before it lights out for its lunatic trip to the border.
