We actually had two Aumont films kinda sorta back to back that day...as the last film of a triple feature matinee we screened JE T'ATTENDRAI aka THE DESERTTER aka I WILL WAIT from 1939, where Aumont is a soldier granted a brief leave to visit his village, where he finds nothing but trouble and has only the length of the film to try to work it all out. One of the earliest "real time" films and gripping despite what is not a lightning pace.
After a dinner break, folks came back and they got Aumont part deux in HANS. When we are back in theatres I plant to show the two of them as an actual double bill...
