I would think that FNF would have some more specific info on the status of SHAKEDOWN and LARCENY, which are both Universal films. Their interactions there have been ongoing for years. The big question is whether the Universal fire some years back may have affected the viability of restoration for these films.

In the case of GUILTY BYSTANDER, it was director Nicholas Winding Refn who paid for the restoration based on the existence of a 35mm print found in a British film archive about ten years ago. The independent nature of the film’s original production/distribution may have contributed to a situation where a print may have wound up in the U.K. outside the usual studio channels; we can only hope that some analogous circumstance may eventually surface for SHAKEDOWN and LARCENY.
