THE BIG SHORT uses some techniques that distract from the noir aspects of its story, but it's pretty easy to see the three amigos as variants of the classic noir hero updated into modern times. Greed, guilt, corruption, chumpiness: it's all there, even if the form of it (and the rather flamboyant wallowing in tech-geek and arcane terminology) messes with the tone we normally associate with "noir."
