A list that's hard to swallow, actually--at least in terms of quality. Some great films on here, to be sure, but an equal number produce a "WTF?" type of response. (Not that I want to make more work for you, but it would be interesting to see this list annotated with IMDB and Metascore values. As is often the case, I'm interested in the "wisdom of the commons" as captured by the IMDB reviewers, so I will focus on that.)
How does that neo-noir correlation work in terms of the two decades? 20 of the 29 films bolded are from 2000-2009, with 31 total from that decade. So: 20/31 for 2000-2009, 9/23 for 2010-19. Assuming the classification is accurate, that suggests a decline in the correlation in the most recent decade...
...assuming, again, that these are actually the 53 best films of the time frame. Might be good to revisit the 2000-2019 neo-noir list to see what's been highly ranked there and compare it here...
