Debatable. I think It best to view Lewton as “unto himself,” but one can argue for it as a noir due to its source material (and, as the noir-o-meter confirms, its mise-en-scene). Since I would argue more for THE SEVENTH VICTIM as a noir due to its stronger and more sustained link to woman in distress” elements and its much more developed set of dark characters, I’m going to leave THE LEOPARD MAN in the grey area.
