Until the Hulu episodes, not to give spoilers, V. never had a Moriarty: now she does, and that's not trivial.
Don's right: the class conflict is pitched to "sledgehammer" intensity at the climax of the Hulu series. If you've done all that I've recommended, above, to follow V. (aside from the the 2 cds), the question is raised as to how the class conflict (how spring break as a plot background) can ever be used again.
But I trust that Rob Thomas will come through, if there are to be more episodes.
As for the final scenes at end of Hulu's last episode: if you want noir, it doesn't get any heavier/darker.
