USN LST-131 (1944)
This is Fred Kopplow, holding for the first time the model of his old ship which I made and presented to him on the 60th anniversary of V-J Day; August 15, 2005. Fred ferried LST-131 to the Marianas invasion from Pearl Harbor after repairs to her stern, which had been blown off by a depth charge from a Japanese patrol craft in Leyte Gulf.
