LOL re: Garage Sales. Glorified garage sales - the local model shows, plus the "on-line garage sale" known as eBay - is where 75% of my entire stash came from. But I still can't blame this for why my builds drag on and on: the fact is, I will chop up/convert/customize a perfectly decent kit anyway, stretching it out into a months- (if not years-) long project!
I am sure I know exactly which room is your new Man-Cave: I can see you getting a whole lot of work done, in there (more convenient to the bathroom sink, too). Again, as for myself I am totally lacking in excuses - since (basically) my entire house has always been my Man-Cave! Except that these days (yet again) I have to relocate completely - after I find a new rental that will allow it.
Between the packing-up and the moving, what I'm down to are just two active projects: 1) molding the hull of my converted Revell New Jersey (1/535 scale), to produce an upgrade for the flat-bottom-boat, and 2) converting a MonoGram P-40b TomaHawk (1/48 scale) into a P-40e KittyHawk. In between organizing/packing, moving stuff (into storage) and looking for a new place to move to, I snatch an hour- or an afternoon or two of work on one or both of these, as permitted...
Maybe I'll snap/show some pics, if I get a chance sometime soon.
Cheers,
- Matt
