After rejection of the first bridge assembly in my Sydney build, that unit suddenly became available for this build:
Overly hollowed-out for Sydney, its rectangular- and slit- ports along the sides nevertheless remained suitable for Exeter, whose corresponding features (insets, upper left and right) were larger, and more contiguous - apparently at all times; from very early in her career (left) right through to her appearance just before the very end (right) - than on any of the Leanders.
Work progressed with filling (purple) of both the Airfix roof seam and "forehead" crease - innacurate for any fit of Exeter and even for any of the Leanders, AFAIK - as well as further widening the side piercings, as shown, in additon to drilling out several ports. At which point I stopped while deciding exactly which fit/period to depict in this build.
Perhaps you could suggest/argue which you might prefer. I can tell you right now the choice will be between either her fit as-sunk in the Battle of the Java Sea (above-right inset), or her fit (more resembling the left inset) as in the Battle of the River Plate, her fierce fight with DKM Graf Spee...
