Yup. Long before the vicious naval battles we've come to know and love (Denmark Strait, Channel Dash, River Plate, etc), the Polish were fighting the Germans. Quite successfully too until numbers came in to play. The Polish ships were a novel design and you've picked out the detail superbly.

Excellent show-room finish as they - sadly - didn't last long enough to weather and rust. It's a pretty substantial sized little kit. Excellent build throughout and funny article. Yeah, those Eastern European kits on a good day can be a challenge.
