Seriously though, this recent kerfuffle about the Revell SCB-125 kit won't affect Matty's Models' all that much. Fact is, I was already putting the most effort into completing my FBM Bow Correction - I asked for feedback - and got it: I got guys climbing all over me for the (few remaining) pre-production prototypes! (Which are already pretty damn good, if I may say so.)
No, it's not Revell who determines Matt Stein Models' development schedule, but the market - that's you, buddy! And another fact is, my SCB-125 hurricane bow upgrades for the Revell kit are all designed around a core, Clipper Bow for the Lindberg Essex, for which I have seen even more demand, and which still is (or until very recently was) in production. (If nothing else, a massive conversion for this kit into an angled-deck, SCB-125 Essex could be developed - wouldn't that be a kick in the a**!)
But eventually, when it comes down to it - if all these rumors (started by some of the most untrustworthy people that I know of) actually prove true - I will no doubt assign higher priority to finishing out the Lindberg upgrades (not that much more work to do, anyway) before the Revell SCB-125 hurricane bows. However, make no mistake: I do intend to complete those, either way - not just because there are still a ton of boneyard Revell kits around, which could use them, but because it's something I want to do. (Don't forget: I've got a few of them in my own stash to build, as well!)
So, understand that (above - all of it) and you will understand Matty's Models completely, Jonnie.
Thanks for a good question, buddy!
