However, just the other day I thought of a potentially great solution for you - and service to me, as well:
Click on Image to EnlargeNext to the master (yellow resin) under development, at right is the prototype bow (white plastic) on which it was patterned. This complete, perfectly good Revell hull, I recently realized I will never build - because when I do (build
my own Shangri-La), I will want to use it to show off the completed, Matty's Models upgrade parts. Which will require using (yet) another untouched Revell hull, OOB.
But for
you, Sean, this testbed prototype hull - unchanged otherwise, except for the keel being (more accurately) widened - would come already equipped with probably the most accurate Shangri-La bow ever put on this model; certainly more accurate than any I have seen on-line, anyway - could be an ideal solution!
So, what I propose is for you and I to
SWAP HULLS - your OOB hull for this testbed hull, at right, above - which I can additionally prep, while waiting for your hull to arrive. This is a
great deal, for
both of us - especially you!
Check your inbox; I'll email you right now, to make sure you see this ASAP, and to answer any remaining questions.
Cheers,
