My favorite (of these) is the VF-31 "Tomcatter"; painted in slightly darker livery, with the commemorative "Star-&-Meatball" markings. I particularly like the wings-swept, nose-on view (which I used to head up your article).
And I think you're getting a better finish on all these, too, with those Testors rattlecans now. Particularly on not only the above, VF-31 bird, but also on the VF-11 bird (and others) as well.
The downside being that, a better paint finish puts more demand on the decals, as well - your VF-109 shark's mouth decals being a good example. Their "white" areas look a (noticeable) bit yellow - though I suppose this could be due in part to the lighting/camera color sensitivities, as well. Cool markings, though!
These are all great submissions, Don. I have quite a few of your earlier TomCats on archive, still awaiting upload; now that you're getting the ball rolling again, I'll make restoring those a top priority, buddy!
