You sure make building that Tamiya WildCat look fun, buddy! And, excellent execution, as usual, Donny.
Was Vejtasa the one who started out with John Leppla as the rear-seater - or am I getting my Navy "Scouts-to-Gunslingers" stories mixed up? Who was the SBD formation leader who, when attacked by a formation of zeroes head-on, at the Battle of Santa Cruz, simply "viffed" his Dauntless to knock the IJN leader right out of the front, without even breaking formation? Was that Gus Widhelm, maybe?
Anyway, those stories are of some epic contests, from a time when both IJN and USN were geared up for the fight - performing at their very best, with roughly the same resources available - at the same time. Down and dirty, indeed!
Again, great WildCat build, Donny - it will be an honor to add her to the Gallery, buddy.
