But 1/350 fins are not gonna happen - despite that guy sounding like a good joe and all - for several reasons.
Firstly, YMW is a resin manufacturer; making a resin add-on for their kit would just be an invitation for them to compete with me. Which they could do far more efficiently, seeing as how they're the ones boxing the kit.
Secondly, non-moving fins and planes in 1/350 are such simple, small parts - so easy to scratchbuild - that I seriously doubt how much market there may be. The 1/200 parts I'm making are far larger and custom-fitted to function with the Renwal kit; not nearly so easy an undertaking for a scratchbuilder, compared to buying from me.
So if you see any 1/350 FBM/nuke parts coming from me, they're going to be as part of an entire kit by Matty's Models. My first kit undoubtedly will be a sub - and maybe a USN nuke, at that - but in any case that's going to be a long way off.
Hell, just developing these latest 5 or so tiny parts in 1/550 are monopolizing my entire life so far this year! But it's very satisfying - and I predict you are all just going to freak out when you see how killer they are!
Thanks again for the plug, Donny.
Cheers,
-Matty
