A recent fatal shooting in my city has the "natives" restless. Seems a young man of 22 appeared at the bank's drive through window and attempted to cash a stolen check. The teller was familiar with the account, which was opened at that branch, and notified police as she stalled the perp. When police arrived, one officer blocked the vehicle from the front with his cruiser, another officer approached on foot from behind. Seeing his escape route blocked in front, the perp threw it into reverse, hitting the officer in the rear of the car (minor injuries,) whereby the officer in the cruiser unloaded his weapon on the driver, killing him. Family and neighborhood activists feel police overreacted and have held two marches from city hall to the bank, ringing it once with several hundred people and shutting it down. Good riddance I say. Guess Bro. Al Sharpton will be paying us a visit soon. Good luck to you Al.
