A planned inside robbery attempt by newly appointed Bank Board member Barney Fike has been uncovered by Security Chief Asa Breeney we have just learned. Details are still sketchy, but Mr. Breeney overheard comments from Fike to another new appointed Board member Regis. Mr. Breeney immedietly contacted Sheriff Andy Taylor, and bank President Mr. Meldrin. An investigation has begun to see how serious the threat, and how far reaching this may be.
Meldrin was quoted as saying" Mr. Breeney stands this afternoon as a hero. His fast action, and keen sense of security ability saved the Bank, and the Towns people of Mayberry a huge loss".
Mr. Breeney, when asked to comment just said there was no need for fuss and faldoral. He was a humble guard, just doing what he was paid to do.
