I was listening to Glenn Beck the other day and he had a guest on (some economist type or some such) and he was saying making comparisons of stats today with those of even a few years ago is fruitless because the formulas used keep changing. His feelings were that the unemployment numbers we are seeing of 9% are not at all accurate and are actually much higher. He used some formulas to indicate that the % was much closer to what was going on during the depression, where it was over 30%.
I seem to remember, even in the later Bush years of unemployment being below 6%, and yet we were in the worst economy since the great depression according to the media. Yet today, at over 9% (and much higher as your link suggests Al) and being there for several years now, that we are in a recovery?
I am so disgusted with the bias in the so called main stream news, I could just scream.
