Re: 10 years later, Thinking ahead. An Editorial
HEAR HEAR, Asa....HEAR HEAR! A few days after that tragic day 10 years ago I heard President Bush talk about going after those responsible. I can't remember his exact words but I will never forget the resolve in his voice...he meant what he said. I looked at my wife and said "I hope the American people have the stomach to carry this coming war through to the end because it is going to be a long fight." That resolve for some lasted a few days and weeks and then as you said, they reverted to their old ways and started trying to make political hay by being the "loyal opposition". I think that mindset eventually led to the election of a man, who in my opinion, is absolutely the worst thing to happen to this nation in it's history. All I can say is that our founding fathers did a fine job in setting this nation up for if they had not, it could not have withstood the almost 3 years it has already endured under the current occupant at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue. Am I partisan...you bet! I am for any conservative Republican and/or TEA Party member that can take the White House and hopefully bring sanity back to a nation that seems to have lost it's way. Friends, we are still fortunate in this nation that our revolutions come every four years in the voting booth instead of at the barrel of a gun. Let's all do our part to see that all good Americans get out and VOTE! EVERY VOTE COUNTS! Sorry if this is too political for some but the time of sitting back and being silent is over, at least for me. I was fortunate enough to be born in this great nation and I hope to die in a GREAT NATION. May God once again bless America and may we once again turn to Him and seek His guidance in our choice of the leaders we need to again become the nation we once were. America is still the greatest nation on earth, but we can do better...IF we all do our part in the coming election and get the vote out!
