At this moment, 10 years ago I was just waking up, I always leave my tv on all night so as I was waking up I saw the news on CBS, they were showing the north tower of the World Trade Center on fire saying that a plane had crashed into it, my first thought was "why is CBS showing a movie on a tuesday moring?" I quickly realized that what I was watching was real, then later a second plane hit the south tower and we all new that America was under attack, this was no accident, I got online and went to the Gossip Club and talked to people there, all of us were posting our fears about what was happening, as the day unfolded we'd witness nearly 3,000 people lose their lives, we also witnessed Americans from all walks of life come together and join in one thought that we would not let the people that did this to us win.

Several images are burned into my memory that day, like the images of people leaping from the towers deciding to fall to their death instead of being burned to death, such a terrible sight, I also remember President Bush standing atop the rubble saying that the people that did this will hear us soon.

10 years later God has kept us save from any more attacks on our soil, Bin Laden is dead, and unfortunately our country is more divided than it's ever been, noone knows what's in our future, that's in God's hands, one thing that I took away from the attack 10 years ago is that no matter how much we may fight as liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, no matter how much we may disagree on the issues of the day, if you attack America we will join together and take you out, it's like two brothers that fight but if someone else attacks one of them then the brothers join up and take care of each other, America is the greatest country on the earth, and as corny as it may sound, I'm proud to be an American!
