NBC has a real problem on it's hands. The opening of the NFL season is tonight with a big kick-off special to be followed by the Saints/Packers game, all to be carried by NBC. The problem is that O wants to make his big speech tonight. NBC, who carries O's water has a real situation on there hands. They surely have to broadcast "the speech" to be true to their cause. But they risk getting a lot of folks mad at them if they don't cover the kick-off special and the game, including sponsors. So they are carrying "the speech" live on their network, and will be airing the kick-off special live on some of their cable networks (G4 Versus and Sy-fy).
It is this reporters personal opinion that "the speech" would be much more appropriate aired on the sy-fy channel. It just seems like a good marriage to me.
