NY Times Obit



This guy was one of my favorite guys of all time. In the summer of 1975 my dad died when the Reds were really starting to build steam to become one of the greatest teams ever. I loved Sparky's no-nonsense philosophies on Life as well as the game. Although it was a horrible time in my Life, Sparky's success seemed to make things easier, also in the following year when I left home for the first time to go to college.
