ASA: So Brett, how's your health?

BRETT: Who wants to know?

ASA: I'm sure all your fans want to know.

BRETT: Well my annual ankle problem is back. I think it will be better in due time though.

ASA: When do you think that will be?

BRETT: When does training camp end?

ASA: You are set to make 13 million this year. The Vikings have increased that to 16 million plus incentives. How does your ankle feel now?

BRETT: I'll know better in about a month from now.

ASA: How many more years do you want to play?

BRETT: How many more years you gonna play a bank guard? What kind of question is that?

ASA: Sorry Brett. But my Editor in Chief, Al Becker is paying me good money to ask the tough questions. I have to ask them.

BRETT: Oh. Al Becker sent you? I heard a story about him. But it can't be true.

ASA: Well today you're the story Brett. How much longer will you play?

BRETT: Well with the ecomony being what it is, I need to play as long as I can. You see 16 million bucks is nice, but 15 and a half of it goes to taxes.

ASA: Ahhh, so you figure the current administrations tax policies are.....

BRETT: #*@* is what I think they are. You may quote me.

ASA: Uhhh, we can't print that Brett. We are a family paper.
