Some friends talked me into joining. I was surprised to see so many folks I had lost contact with over the years already on there. Like anything, it has its good and bad points. As far as online social networks go--MySpace, Twitter, and whatnot (I made that last one up myself)--Facebook does seem to be the least juvenile. (That's a secondhand opinion for I've never used MySpace or Twitter.)
