Mayor Roy Stoner (thats S.T.O.N.E.R.) has called for a news conference to be held tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. The Mayors office refuses to elaborate on the reason for the news conference, but an unnamed source tells us he will address directly the reported purchase of a bed jacket that his wife never recieved as a gift. Rumors have swirled around the Mayors head since this story was made public several days ago. During the time of the alleged purchase, the Mayor had supposedly gone fishing while his wife was out of town. But several towns folks saw him returning from his supposed fishing trip wearing a neck tie and nary a fish in his basket fueling speculation concerning the Mayors claim of "they just weren't biting!"
Concerns about Mayor Stoner have circulated since last year when he was discovered passed out on the Courtroom floor from being intoxicated. His claim of the "croc being spiked" has been a point of disdain and disbelief from his critics.
Prior to that he had been found hiding in a tree a few weeks earlier. He claimed a bear had chased him up there, but there was never any evidence of a bear in the area.
