    Help/Advice

    Hi all,

Now I know this isn't the place to normally look for help or advice, but you never know, once in a while you can get lucky... This is mostly for anyone who is very immobile or has immobile relatives. How do you get, or help you relatives to get to, games? Obviously, the surrounding roads are often closed around a matchday and I wondered how people got around this? Do they ever let cars up to drop off or taxis? I ask as my father has become increasingly immobile and we're trying to help him to still get to games if he can, as the walk up Hazelbury Crescent has become too much for him.

Luton Town Disabled Supporters Association might be able to give some advice and tips - https://www.facebook.com/LutonTownDSA/

What part of the ground does he sit? If it's Oak Road or the main stand it be easier to park near a bus stop and get the busway to Clifton Road. If it's the KR end, the club might relocate him if he's a season ticket holder.

Busway is all very well but it can sometimes be a devil to get a bus away after the game. Probably not too bad heading back into Luton but I certainly would be cautious of trying to head to Dunstable, or Leighton, if you are someone with a disability.

Mr. Genius was in a wheelchair for several years. There are wheelchair friendly spaces, with a seat for the "pusher" in the Kenilworth End, and reached by a slope from the Kenilorth entrance. Your best bet is phoning the Ticket Office and asking if there are any free. The TO staff are very helpful.

PS the "pusher", as far as I remember, has a free ticket.

The only problem is that the carer ("pusher") seats are at the back of the disabled area and the view from them is awful. Also, those in the seats in front of that area tend to stand up a lot, particularly at corners, blocking the view of those in wheelchairs.

A carer does qualify for a free ticket but the only time that I have ever claimed one was the EFL Trophy game against franchise. I then spent the ticket price in the club shop.

There is a new disabled area as well just round the corner under the David Preece Stand.

Oh yes there is that drawback.
Thanks for the info, but don't need it any more.
