Can't have a Stones top 10 without...
1. Almost hear you sigh 2. Waiting on a friend 3. Memory Motel
Of songs yet to get a mention, I’ve always loved the OTT ridiculousness of Have You Seen Your Mother Baby… Worth mentioning for those who haven’t heard it yet that the new Stones album is proper great.
Why does everything degenerate into slagging off your fellow Luton fans? I am in Luton today for a funeral tomorrow of my oldest mate. Known him for 66 years. On another note It’s All Over Now. Listen to the guitar break.

Gimme Shelter stands out on its own as one of the greatest songs by anybody. Almost doesn’t look right in a list with others. You can have Gimme Shelter and then a separate top ten.
I still have Come On their first single and Lennon McCartneys I Wanna Be Your Man. Flip side an instrumental entitled Stoned bit far out for the time. Was at their stage show ABC George Street and in Hyde Park. Great days.

Debut live for Jumpin' Jack Flash. And Mick Taylor, who recorded some tunes (now lost sadly) with D's first band.

No, unfortunately. I remember D's band appearing somewhere local, possibly at the Civic Hall (later Quennsway Hall), also D stood in for a member of my brother's group once; it might have been at Barton YC.
I don't think you meant Mick Taylor who is still with us 77 years old just how it read. Loved the Mick Taylor years esp Sticky Fingers. A bloke i worked with was in a band with his brother who backed the Stones at what is now Baldock tesco. They were called 'Some People'.
An old school teacher of mine reckoned he was a contemporary of his predecessor Brian Jones at school in the west country somewhere in the late 50’s/early 60’s. Apparently a unique musical and artistic talent.
And kind of on that note Iwent to school with the base guitarist of the band Big Audio Dynamite (I knew him quite well). Who was also a pupil of the aforementioned teacher…..
Gimme Shelter Emotional Rescue Let's spend the night together Tonky Tonk Women Miss You Can't get no Satisfaction Sympathy for the devil Paint it Black Little Red Rooster Angie
