C of E? I don't recall mine being for any particular denomination. The only person in my class who refused it was a Jehovah's Witness.

You should know thst the Bible is the Bible formally mainstream denominations including Roman Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestant (CofE, methodist, baptist, free churches such as pentecostal),

Only dodgy sects such as Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses use a set Bible which has subtle, but very significant, differences.

I am not particularly a fan of either group but shouldn't someone in your position accept that others may have beliefs different to your own?

Possibly, and I totally accept that others have different beliefs to me. However, the tactics that these groups use to gain and keep their members is, in my opinion, highly dubious. As I mentioned, they even have their specific translation of the Bible with all others banned whereas mainstream Christianity encourages followers to use different translations to gain a wider and broader understanding of the text. I maintain that they are both sects from Christianity.

John Knox is mainstream, although I definitely don't agree with some of his theology.

I've never read it, aalthough it sounds good. I'll have to have a look in the library.

                Also, I'd recommend Les Miserables.

Ensemble '84 are putting it on at The Playhouse in Horden, but set in contemporary times. Wrong side of the country for you though, and a two-hour drive (each way) is a bit of an ask for a 90-minute play.
