Two up front

What's the problem ? Will we ever see it ? Much more of this sideways, sideways, back and the crowd will turn.

It's not the Arsenal way.😉
I think we need to be patient for abit longer I am sure Jack will be looking at the way we were out muscled and passive Thursday.
I am hoping this game could change a few things the fact that Mansfield and Stevenage have come early in the season maybe a small blessing .
Make compassion cool again.

He might well realise that we don’t have the physicality and then he’ll look around to see his collection of midgets and transfer deadline shut!
We’re basically waiting for Jack to learn his trade before we’ll make strides forward again.
It’s really odd because decent Arsenal teams have always had steel in them.

Academy midgets were never going to be the answer. Technically gifted but still boys.

There have been plenty of small players that were steely or combative. Bremner,Gemmil, Wise and our own Preecy all would put up a good fight with the big lumps.
I still think we will be there abouts come the end of the season.
Make compassion cool again.

Hope you are right but at this moment I don't see this team putting together a string of consistent results. We'll have flashes of brilliance interspersed with Stevenage/Mansfield performances.
My main concern is that we are not really growing for the future. The five loanees will take time to get up to speed and then return to their clubs at the end of the season, leaving us with yet another rebuild.

Gore has a conditional commitment to buy, presumably that commitment being that we go up. I might be wrong, but does that also apply to Ashby?

The club's announcement of his signing didn't mention it and that is one thing they do seem to include normally.

I have a feeling that Ashby is out of contract at the end of this season. I saw it somewhere recently. Possibly an article from Newcastle's Vital Football website that someone posted on here.

Interesting . . . let's see how he goes but it could give us a chance of keeping him if things go well for him . . . and us of course!

Didn't think it did with Ashby although I may be wrong.
