Would have loved Chelsea away pre Prem. But just can't see this than being nothing more than an inconvenience now. Is that just the magic of the cup now? Am I missing something? Mansfield Sunday far more meaningful. Still, enjoy the beers pre match. Seem to remember they put the price of in ground beers up closer to kick off time ?

If we play our best team we’d have a chance, but we won’t. Just like we didn’t play our best team against Chelsea at home in an fa cup fifth round tie a few years back (mind boggling decision, even if it was played midweek - another thing to drain away the magic of the cup) so we could rest players for the game with Middlesbrough the following weekend (which we lost). That game was confirmation for me that were unlikely to take a major cup game seriously again.

Our best team needs to saved for Sunday, which is a far more important game. Playing the likes of Palmer etc tonight is a huge risk. If we pick up any more injuries we’re in trouble.
Luker is already out for weeks
Clicker probably 6 weeks
Morris probably 6 weeks aswell
Baptiste who knows how long he’s out for and how long he’ll last when he’s back

The atmosphere in the pub before that 5th round Chelsea game was really good and then the team news came out and everyone was a bit deflated
If it wasn't for Burke's 2nd minute goal, which set the game up, that could have ended up in a really flat atmosphere. I will never understand why we didn't go strong that night despite us being in the hunt for a top 6 spot. And as you say, we ended up losing the following weekend anyway

And that's a shining example of how we've changed as a club.
All the way through our rise, we were proud to be one of the last 'proper' clubs.
As supporters, we all got behind that.
Then in the championship things changed. Then in the PL we changed massively.
Us as supporters never changed. No Billy Big bollocks indeed.

People saying the games gone. The games gone when fans of a league one side are hoping we put out a youth team against one of the biggest teams in the country If you’re a player. You want to be playing in these games

I hear you. I did chelsea several times as a kid with my old man. Big open terraces with the 3 tier stand to one side. I have little to no interest in going there tomorrow but my youngest hasn't been there yet so it's a box ticking exercise for us tbh.
Mansfield also has my name on it, and that's more my kind of away Day.
