    Undermining the Police??

Posted by CubaUser icon on 14/8/2026, 08:31:34

    There you have it.

Reform clearly believe they, specifically Farage, are above the law.

    Incredible.

    Argentina anyone?

Good to see the parliamentary inquiry into NF's £5m bung has already resumed. I expect another Clacton by-election before the Autumn is done.

Yes its very dangerous and just shows the level of arrogance and entitlement Reform posess. Can't even be bothered to turn up to his own election result declaration under police advice. As if. When even have the police necer been able to deal with this sort of issue, its not like we've never had by-elections before. And if he was genuinely concerned about his safety, doesn't that tell you everything you need to know about how divisive, hate-filled, and bias his opinions/polices are. In the UK no one who wants, fairness, justice, and integrity has those issues.

So what would you say the same about Jo Cox and her views…of course you wouldn’t because you agreed with her.

            Re: Undermining the Police??

Posted by GoddersUser icon on 14/8/2026, 11:15:27, in reply to "Re: Undermining the Police??"

            Was Jo Cox divisive?
Was she a woman who was hate filled?

Or was she someone who thought justice and integrity were important?

Surely, you can see there's a whole world of difference between Jo Cox (RIP) and Reform in terms of what they stand for and therefore the likelihood of security issues. It's what makes her murder even more appalling. And this isn't even about left or right wing. David Amess (RIP) for example. A decent constituency MP even if I disagreed with his politics I still thought he was someone who valued his community. Reform, by contrast, are stiring up hate and division. No wonder Farage is running scared. But how does he think his politics are actually helpful in all this?

But it wasn’t against police advice.

It was a figment of Farage’s imaginations

Have you forgotten that only weeks ago a loonball murdered Ann Widdecombe?

Which surely makes spreading lies and being dishonest about such things far worse.

                  Good point.

Reading between the lines and what the police have said it looks very possible that the cowardly cunt who murdered Anne Widdecombe had been near Farage. Not unreasonable for him to be slightly concerned about his security.

Interesting none of you lefties have made any comment about his convincing win….

I, as a leftie, had no doubt he would win. And he has done convincingly. But this by election wasn't about that privately educated, private banking, ex London stock broker, bespoke suit or jacket and trousers combo wearing man of the establishment, that happens to own 4 or 5 properties, and can draw an enormous EU pension in a years time, the greasy spiv...

It was all about the £5 million he was given. He was and is looking for confirmation from Clactons voters that it doesn't matter to them. Clearly it doesn't. And therefore doesn't matter to the rest of the UK either. He's won that battle. The slime bag.

Hilarious when you think the country was baying for Starmers blood over some spectacles and a few suits. Or Rayner and her stamp duty avoidance. Pales into insignificance by comparison. However, Farage is yet to be found guilty. We shall see

How fickle the voting public are.

I've made plenty of comments about how he has made himself into a complete laughing stock.

I'm also going to be interested to see how he tries to claim he kept within election spending rules given the amount he must have thrown at this.

As for his win against a bin.

Explain to me what that has to do with Farage telling pork pies about being told not to go the count. What happened to Widdecombe was dreadful. You saying they are comparable?

I thought conservatives (small c) were all about law and order and the legitimacy of the police.

                              From BBC Breakfast:

Charlie Stayt, "You're saying Essex police are not telling it how it is?"

Lee Anderson, "If Nigel Farage gets up on stage and says he's been advised not to attend, then I believe Nigel above the police"

It's bizarre, no matter quite how ridiculous whatever they come up with is, there are a set of people that will just believe it.

They are a serious danger because of it.
