You can't say things like that. Apparently us lefties have no idea about personal responsibility as it often seen as a right wing characteristic!
But, given how idiotic people can be (I've just read a press release from Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service about how someone caused a fire that destroyed a house from a bonfire that they decided to have in their garden!) sometimes the government has to step in. Whilst I'm not a favour of the "nanny state" culture, sometimes, there needs to be a unilateral decision made on certain things - such as disposable BBQs. Burnham should have gone all out and banned them though for the foreseeable future as people just don't think - or care, or both.

Hes not even stopped bbqs! Just to "urge" the use of disposable ones. No one is stopping you from having a bbq at home with your loved ones using a permanent bbq.
