    The PFA

Reading the room well as always. Suing the EFL for their new financial rules in L1 this season. Their argument being that footballers have a short career and they need to maximise their earnings.

I'm not a huge fan of regulators telling businesses how to run themselves, but clearly football is a special case. And football clearly cannot manage itself.

For context, Archie Collins (someone I thought we should've gone for last season) apparently was looking for £15,000 per week after he was released by Peterborough. He will sign for Huddersfield this week, but has lost his entire pre-season, presumably for his agent's greed.

I'm all for this - if the PFA in return agrees to kill the football creditors rule. Because all this will do is drive up bankruptcy.

      They might have short careers.

So might all of us FFS.

They still can't justify what they get paid in many instances.

      Fucking chancers

Regulators telling businesses what to do.

That's a nice idea we ought to try.
