Ross McCausland

Probably something and nothing, but a Rangers supporting colleague is telling me that we are being linked up there with this young forward, who Rangers sent out on loan to Aris Limassol last season. The stronger the team, the stronger the team.

Wonder if Rangers still owe us some stage payments for Aasgaard so no cash outlay required from us?

If that goes through it probably means Lawrence is a no-go.

Not necessarily, this Rangers lad plays on the right and Lawrence on the left.
Could argue we need a right winger as well. Richards isn't an out and out wide player, might end up more central when he matures. Morris has never been a favourite for Wilshere beyond impact sub. Jones seems to be thought of more as a right back (and, no indication of this so far, but I still wouldn't be surprised if he were to leave. Has a good reputation in the Championship and is probably an expensive player to have on our books at this level, was signed for quite big money before Bloomfield took us down).

In fairness, Morris was only ever an impact sub for Aberdeen aswell so we knew what we were getting. I think Jones is better going forward than playing as a full back. His man marking leaves a lot to be desired. We could do with another right back or we'll end up the same as last season where the managers used a tombola machine to pick someone to play there.

Harrison Ashby solves that problem in theory, but the immediate ankle injury isn't a good sign from someone who hasn't played much football yet in his career despite being in his mid 20s

I remember seeing him when he first came into the Rangers team and was impressed. He then suddenly seemed to vanish. What I didn't know (just watch a variety of games) was that he had been injured. Just looked on wiki and as he was getting back to fitness, he was loaned out. Wondering if that means the injury is still in the background and they didn't want to risk him in their own team..
