Any recommendations for a decent restaurant in Liverpool. Am looking for lunchtime early August.
Have looked online.

Mowgli used to be sensational, really unusual Indian food based on ingredients available to an Indian family in Liverpool in the 1970s trying to recreate food from their homeland.
Has gone down downhill a little bit since they got investment and opened chains around the country and is now just "fancier than usual curry", a bit like Papa J in Luton. (The customer is) a victim of their success! Still very good but no longer 10/10 like it was a few years back.

Some excellent pubs, cafes and eating places on Bold St, various cuisines and ethnicities. Plus the bombed church is worth a visit.
