Probably an iceberg but Jay Socik left the recruitment team as well in May.

Good call for all concerned, he's been an easy target for the bedwetters, he, Rob, MattB and Sweet all have a good hand in the crap recruitment / daft contracts handed out last 3 seasons.

Richards, Palmer, Ali, Keeley, Odoffin, Jones, Walsh, Morris, Kodua suggest that doesn’t really stand up and you know he has nothing to do with the contracts handed out.

Sounds like you're suggesting he's being made a scapegoat by our glorious leader?

It’s almost like everyone was in a slumber or on holiday for the month of June. And now July comes along, things are picking up.

Sad to hear of anyone losing their job; I hope that he has got something lined up and wish him well.
Unfortunately, he didn't come across as convincing on the podcasters' day. Perhaps he has developed his skill set since then.

Re. his performance on the podcasters' day: a lot of people seemed (and still seem) quick to judge him on something that wasn't really part of his job, i.e. giving interviews to the media. That sits a bit uncomfortably with me as it doesn't seem very fair. Of course, that doesn't mean that he was good at his job either - I just don't think that's the stick to best him with, personally.

True, but then again he could have asked for help or said he wasn't comfortable. Also, you'd assume a senior person would be ok at presenting and answering questions. LTST also interviewed him and that's hardly a difficult interview. Some on here were singing his praises after the podcaster day disaster interview, and of course they are silent now. In fact, last season many on here said again and again that our recruitment team was fine and great. Now they've both gone, so that shows what sheep people can be and exactly who toes the party line. It seems those who said last season things were wrong in that area are a few steps ahead of our CEO, his programme notes, and the rest of the guff he said defending the indefensible.

I agree. The club should not have put him in that position if he didn't have some kind of media training
It isn't the stick to beat him with. The last few transfer windows speak for themselves

Yousuf Sajjad was about as effective as Marcus Rashford's performance last night.
The amount of money we’ve wasted on shit-munchers is mind-boggling.

Desperately out of his league. How he even got the job is beyond me.
