Andy Swinton, Keith Curl, Carlton Palmer and Carl Jenkinson, just a few who are way worse. Spence is suffering because Tuchel was trying to make a statement by not taking TAA. A decision that will ultimately cost him his job. Spence is a more than capable Left back.

There's a difference between being a poor player and putting in a poor performance though, isn't there? I think he's a decent player, certainly not as bad as the likes of Carlton Palmer!

You have to question how poor must Alexander-Arnold be to lose his place to Spence. Or Kyle Walker for that matter. Even at his age, what 35 now, would be far superior to Djed Spence.

I remember when he played for Forest when we best them in 21/22 and being quite impressed by him.

But international football seems too big a step up for him. Feels quite mad that we left Real Madrid's right back at home for him.
