He's not the Messiah and over rated in my humble opinion. No tears on this one, the money will go towards K.Palmer: a far better player, right attitude and most importantly, he wants to play for us.

Will more or less make our money back then depending how much of fees that we paid and will receive included add ons and whether the conditions for these were / will be met. Probably best for all parties.

Hopefully our agents fees for the next 2 windows will be well below the £3m spunked in the last 2 Windows.League one again ole ole

Given our Fuhrers previous comments on agents, the £3m thing is pretty bizarre tbh. I'm sure the Trust have held him and the club to account for it though. Pay yer tenner and get the answers I suppose.

That’s a bargain for someone potentially as good as he will be once he matures.
I think we will regret this one in the future but can quite understand why we are looking to move on.

Why would we regret selling a bell end with a shit attitude?
Re: Makosso
Posted by Cuba on 30/6/2026, 16:40:52, in reply to "Re: Makosso"
Because when he matures and takes more accountability he will be a top flight player.
I hope we have added a future sell-on element.
He has let himself down but I think joining a team in rapid decline didn’t help, perhaps a lack of senior figures standing up and looking after him? Winning is everything - more than you have

Or perhaps a lack of desire?

Clear he doesn’t want to play for us. What do we do till he decides he does?

He is also pretty shit on the ball. Not ideal for a side that wants to play out from the back.

You're right, I think this is the reason he's being moved on.

I'll have a charity fiver bet we never hear of him again. If you ain't got the attitude for two clubs in Div 3 not a chance you're making it to the top level. Better players than him have thrown it all away. Never forgive never forget - fcuk the FA

'When' being the key word..his maturity to accept discipline could be years away or never..he could go through life being an arse..a lot of talented players have attitudes that we may not like

In taking a long time to mature I mean.
Some player once he did and such a shame that we never got to see that,

He started his career with us in the second division and never played at a higher level throughout the rest of his career.

Surely he played at a higher level when he was at Wolves and Bristol City?
Re: Makosso

Sorry, yes - it gets confusing the way the leagues kept getting renamed at that time - I was thinking of the second division as it was but we got relegated from the first division to the first division.
Watching us under Lennie became a bit of a blur

He no doubt joined us at the wrong time. I'm with you on that. But a bad apple can easily fuck the whole group. Better off going elsewhere and starting again. No regrets. I'd be very surprised if Sweet doesn't insist on a sell on clause. That's one thing he appears very good at sorting in fairness.
