    Only 1 player has been born on this day and that was Frank Rollinson in 1884, who played for the Hatters in the seasons leading up to the First World War. Only 12 years later, at only 43 years old, he was to sadly die of pneumonia.

      Frank also played in season 1914-15 as, surprisingly (given League football was suspended as soon as World War Two started) football continued for a season after the outbreak of the First World War. However, it was thought (when the First World War commenced) that it would “all be over by Christmas”
