Has been bailed until September as he is apparently not fit for police interview, but apparently is fit to be allowed back into the public. How does that work?

It was just someone that got away from the care support they were with. Autistic or something along those lines, just sounds like a tragic accident.

Absolutely no chance he's walking the streets let's be honest.

Released as he's not fit to be interviewed - presumably either non verbal or otherwise incapable of actually giving sensible answers.

Released just means he's not in police custody - i would bet a large chunk of money he's in a very secure care unit.

Whoever was meant to be looking after him, and their boss, are probably sweating a bit now though

There are a lot of people getting "care in the community " that clearly shouldn't. And they are being looked after by poorly qualified and low paid staff.

Both. There are seriously dangerous people who should be in institutions (except we closed them down)and as you said, people getting nothing, who should be.

The news seems to be outdoing itself lately with ever more horrific stories. This one is sickening. Heard the perpetrator is special needs, but no idea if that's true. Reminds me of the weirdo that threw the kid off the Sackler building at Tate Modern a few years ago.
