Power Court parking (upon opening)

James’ post re: Vauxhall complex reminded me of something I didn’t know the answer to.
When PC opens is the expectation that Newlands park and ride schemes will be sufficient as an addition to established station car parks, north and south (e.g., Harlington and Harpenden)?
I would imagine a significant % of fans today (40%??) drive to Luton on match days and find parking in town but if with a fair wind we are attracting 15k upwards attendances I am wondering what plans are in place for travel and access is from other parts of town?
Will there be schemes from other parts of L&D rather than just a reliance on usual bus services?
A Park & Ride scheme connecting to the Dunstable end of the bus way would make sense, likewise something around Vauxhall accessible from the A505 would be good and is likely walkable for most from that point too.
If this is all detailed somewhere could someone share a link, I have searched and I couldn’t find the precise detail. Winning is everything - more than you have
I recall that in the initial planning stages that as well as J10, Capability Green and Butterfield Green would also be park and ride, don't know if that's still the case, but it would would make sense.
I suspect/hope that a proportion of that 40% percent who drive to town and then walk to the ground will walk straight to PC.
Anyone who lives on Crawley Green road and surrounding for example. Probably cant be asked to walk all the way to KR and so drive to town first but will be far happier simply walking to PC.
And for those from further afield park at Harpenden or Leagrave station as you suggest.
I don’t know the answer to your question, but given that Newlands was sold off by the club, why would there be a park and ride scheme based there?“Control the controllables”
It’s referenced as a park and ride location, I suspect regardless of location.
This is from Gemini, although find the source isn’t easy!
“The Intercepted Drivers (approx. 3,500 (drivers)): These are the people expected to park at the Newlands Park J10 hub and be shifted onto the supporter shuttle buses (the 14.3% target).”
Probably old news. Winning is everything - more than you have
